Color Throwdown 704-Leafy Hello

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy Rohl is our hostess this week with a classic combination of neutrals and a pop of color--brown, green, black, and white.

Leafy Hello card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
The layout for my design comes from the current Sunday Stamps challenge. I started off with a piece of green patterned paper that I matted on black cardstock and centered on a matching green card base.I used pierced rectangle dies to cut brown and white panels for the cardfront. After matting the die cut pieces on black cardstock, I arranged them on the cardfront, angling them for interest. The simple "hello" from the Flowers in Bloom set from My Favorite Things was stamped in green ink on the white panel. I accented the sentiment panel with a simple die cut white flower and a pair of large green leaves. A green enamel dot at the center of the flower helps to set it off from the background panel and adds just a bit of dimension.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD704.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd704 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team.
