It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lisa is our hostess this week with two neutrals paired with a pop of color--gray, white, and navy.
Here's my take on this week's challenge colors. I let my sentiment do most of the work, starting by cutting a large "cheers" from a gray panel using the Tall Cheers die from My Favorite Things. I backed the negative space with navy cardstock, then stamped the "to you on your birthday" sentiment from MFT's How to Say Cheers set below it. The sentiment was embossed in white pearl embossing powder. It wasn't as "white" as I'd have liked and is more tone on tone, but it works! I accented the words with a pair of die cut champagne glasses made from white vellum and with gold paper for the liquid. A trio of white sequin bubbles floating above the glasses completes the design.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD726. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd726 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper.
