Color Throwdown 774-Coffee Cheers to You on Your Birthday

It's time for another Color Throwdown! After our holiday break, Amy Rohl is starting the new year as our hostess this week with a nature inspired color palette--blue, olive, and ivory.

I used the colors to make a birthday card for a friend/colleague. With her birthday coming just as we go back to work after winter break, I thought the coffee theme would be appropriate. Hopefully it will reach her in time for her birthday! I created a pair of die cut to go coffee cups and arranged them on an olive card base. After cutting the the tall and narrow letters spelling "cheers" from blue cardstock, I positioned them over the coffee cups, placing them purposely off center. The "to you on your birthday" sentiment from the My Favorite Things How to Say Cheers set was stamped at the bottom of the cardfront in black ink to finish the design.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.
