Color Throwdown 813-Birthday Cupcake

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess this week with a mix of cheery, warm colors--yellow, pink, and orange.

Cupcake Birthday card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I made yet another birthday card, this time with a fun die cut cupcake and a bold sentiment. I started with the sentiment on this one, using my MISTI and the Happy Happy Birthday stamp set from My Favorite Things to stamp the bold "happy" in orange and the delicate "birthday" in pink on a white panel. My cupcake is made with MFT's Cupcakes and Sprinkles dies. I used foam tape to place the pieces next to the text. For balance, I adhered narrow strips of orange and gold foil cardstock beneath the text. The finished panel was adhered to a pink card base that matches the cupcake base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD813. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd813 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team.
