Color Throwdown 817-Thanks for Sticking Your Neck Out for Me

It's time for another Color Throwdown! I'm this week's challenge hostess and bringing you a warm, earthy color combination--mustard, kraft, and terracotta.

Thanks for Sticking Your Neck Out for Me card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I paired the colors with the current challenge from The Paper Players for a fun thank you card design. My focal image is a die cut giraffe that I dressed up with Copic marker spots and a pair of black enamel dot eyes. The image was adhered to a cream panel using foam tape for dimension. After matting the round panel on a slightly larger mustard circle matching the giraffe, I adhered it to a mustard card base with kraft and terracotta cardstock panels running from top to bottom. The "thanks for sticking your neck out for me" sentiment from the My Favorite Things Sweet Safari stamp set was stamped at the bottom left of the cardfront to finish the design.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD817. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd817 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team.
