Color Throwdown 822-Holiday Filled with Joy

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Kelly is our hostess this week with a traditional holiday color palette--green, red, and cream.

Holiday Filled with Joy card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I used the colors for a seasonal holiday design, starting off with a green card base. I used dies from My Favorite Things to cut out the "J" and "Y" and a snowflake to spell the word "joy". The letters were arranged on the bottom of the cardfront, using foam tape to adhere the cream snowflake. I stamped the holiday sentiment in black ink on a cream cardstock strip. After wrapping a piece of red gingham ribbon around the left side of the cream strip and securing it with a knot, I attached the strip to the cardfront above the die cut word. A single clear crystal placed at the center of the snowflake finished off the design.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD822. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd822 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team.
