Color Throwdown 824-Happiest of Birthdays

Happy 2025! After our holiday break, it's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy is our hostess this week with a mix of neutral colors--black, white, and gray.

I paired the colors with the current challenge at Sunday Stamps and added a pop of metallic silver shine to make a sophisticated birthday design. I used pale gray cardstock for the card base, then added a strip of black edged with a narrow strip of silver along the bottom to the cardfront. The birthday sentiment from the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set from My Favorite Things is heat embossed on the black strip in white for a nice pop. I used pierced circle dies to cut white circles for the focal image and surrounding panels. The two smaller circles were matted with slightly larger silver circles for contrast before I placed them on the cardfront. I topped the larger circle with a silver pierced star die cut, using foam tape for dimension. The card is already in the mail on the way to the recipient. Hopefully it will make it to her in time for her birthday tomorrow...
