Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday

I have a fun non-card project to share with you for today's Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday post. I have a bunch of these cute and inexpensive little favor tins and thought I could turn one of them into a Valentine's Day surprise.

I decorated the outside of the tin with a simple piece of cream grosgrain ribbon. I thought about wrapping a strip of paper around the tin but decided that it might make it too thick to put the lid back on--LOL!

I decorated the clear lid with a scalloped circle and a stamped heart image from the Love & Luck stamp set.

When you open the tin, a hidden message is revealed. I stamped the "i" and "u" from Playful Alphabet in Pearlescent Poppy ink on Very Vanilla cardstock circles and layered them on Chocolate Chip scalloped circles. I stamped two of the heart images (layered in Pearlescent Beige and Pearlescent Poppy inks) from the Love & Luck set for the heart you see between the "i" and "u".

The trio scalloped circles were attached to a strip of ribbon. Another scalloped circle is placed behind, sandwiching the ribbon between and keeping it secure. The end of the ribbon is secured inside the base of the tin, under one more scalloped circle. The letters fold up to fit inside for a surprise message when the tin is open. This was such an easy project to make and is so cute, too!
