I stamped the grill image on white cardstock, then colored the image with Copic markers. I used a stipple brush to add in the grass and a cloud template with a sponge to create the sky background. I stamped the hamburger images on a scrap of paper, colored them, then cut them out and attached them to the grill with dimensionals.Wednesday, May 27, 2009
King of the Grill
Here's my card for today's SCS sketch challenge. With Father's Day coming up, I thought it would be nice to put a masculine slant on the sketch, so I used images from the DoodleFactory Great Outdoors set from Starving Artistamps.

I stamped the hamburger images on a scrap of paper, colored them, then cut them out and attached them to the grill with dimensionals.

I coordinated the mats for the image and layers with the colors in the paper. Since I was going for a masculine look, I kept my embellishments simple. I added a pair of wooden buttons with twine threaded through the buttonholes and the "king of the grill" sentiment stamped in red on a white oval.
