Give Me the Candy!

Kim is our host for this week's Paper Craft Planet sketch challenge. I played along using an image from the new DoodleFactory Costume Party stamp set from Starving Artistamps.

I stamped the cowboy image on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. It's hard to see in the photo, but I added some silver gel pen accents to the cowboy's buttons and stars. I used my colorless blender pen to make the contrasting white stripes on the cowboy's bandana.

The panels behind the cowboy are squares cut from a piece of Memory Box patterned paper. They're layered on red mats to set them off from the caramel card base. I stamped the sentiment from the Witch's Brew set beneath the 4 squares in slightly darker brown ink. I added a red felt star, embellished with a star brad, as a simple accent for the sentiment.

If you play along with this week's sketch challenge, upload your project to the PCP gallery using the keyword sk091909. And, don't forget about our ongoing Stampendous Back to Basics series. We're on week 3 this week, focusing on gift packaging. Check out this week's challenge and the great prize package, too.
