Happy Fright Night

***Scroll down to see my post from earlier today with another Halloween card.***

My new DoodleFactory Costume Party set from Starving Artistamps arrived yesterday. I couldn't resist inking it up for today's SCS sketch challenge to make this Halloween themed card.

I heat embossed the skeleton bones image in white on black paper. The embossing really makes the image pop against the black background.

The skeleton is paired with some bold zig zag striped paper for the panel across the cardfront. I used colors from the paper for the other layers on the card. The "Happy Fright Night" sentiment from the Grave Yard Sentiments set is stamped on the edge of a Labels One die. The curved edges of the shape add a little interest to the design. I also added an embossed panel on the cardfront. There's a lot going on here, so the only embellishment is a strip of black grosgrain ribbon, knotted around the patterned paper panel.

I'll have another Costume Party card to share in the morning, so be sure to check back. And, if you have to have one of these sets for yourself, you can use the code savetenLT to get a 10% discount on your DoodleFactory and Starving Artistamps purchases at Starving Artistamps.

Materials Used:
Costume Party stamp set and Grave Yard Sentiments (Starving Artistamps); Fresh Snow Palette ink, black grosgrain ribbon (Papertrey Ink); Old Olive, Lavender Lace, Pumpkin Pie, and Basic Black cardstock, white embossing powder (Stampin' Up!); patterned paper (K & Company); Polka Dots embossing folder (QuicKutz); Labels One die (Nestabilities)
