This Monster's Wild About You

The images in the DoodleFactory Costume Party set from Starving Artistamps aren't just for Halloween. Check out this card I made for this week's SCS sketch challenge using the monster image to see how this can work.

The monster image is colored with Copic markers to coordinate with the colros in the strip of designer paper along the left edge of the card. I used some sparkly flock on the top of its head for some sparkle and texture.

When I first saw the monster, I thought of the classic children's book, Where the Wild Things Are. In a roundabout way, that led me to this idea. To turn this card into a "love note," I added a felt heart to the monster's outstretched hands. The "wild about you" sentiment from the Country sentiments set #2completes the sweet scene.

Don’t forget you can get these stamps and other DoodleFactory and Starving Artistamps stamps for 10% off by using the discount code: savetenLT.
