What a Deer!

Starving Artistamps is sponsoring the September sketch challenge at Rubber Stamp Chat, so I played along using images from the DoodleFactory Great Outdoors set and matching Outdoors sentiments.

I colored Fern the deer using Copic markers and used dimensionals to layer the image on to the scene panel. I added a grassy panel for Fern to stand on, then used some shimmery chalks and a cloud template to make the sky background.

I used coordinating colors of solid cardstock for the rest of the card. The solid panels are broken up just a bit by the pattern in the strip of red gingham ribbon. I added a little faux stitching along the bottom panel, too.

Instead of using a trio of embellishments as the sketch called for, I used the sentiment and just one white brad. This is such a versatile sketch!

Don’t miss out on your chance to win the latest DoodleFactory set—Costume Party. It’s arrived just in time for Halloween. Check out the Starving Artistamps blog for all the details on how you can win a set for yourself.
