Kitchen Sink Monday: More New Stamps

It's time for another Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday. It's a good thing you stopped by today! You're getting the first look at two of the three new KSS sets that are officially releasing tomorrow AND you're getting the first chance to purchase the three new sets--Multistep Harvest, Multistep Trees, and Multistep Big Leaves. These sets are perfect for fall card making and projects!

This card showcases images from the new Multistep Harvest set. I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge for the layout along with an autumn color scheme. The flowers are stamped in a combination of red and yellow inks. The yellow inks mixed with the red to create a rust-like color at the edges of the flowers. The basket image is stamped in shades of gray and black to look like tin. I inked around the edges of the panel with some mustard ink to soften the brightness of the white panel.

I used the faux woodgraining technique on the circle panel. This technique seemed like a good match for a fall card. I assembled the pieces on a piece of dotted paper from October Afternoon's Early Bird line. A trio of Dew Drops runs along the side of the image panel. I used the dots in the paper's pattern to help me line the Dew Drops up straight (nice!). The "thanks" sentiment from the set is stamped in Dusty Durango ink along the bottom of the card. It stands out nicely from the pattern.

Materials Used:
Multistep Harvest stamp set, New Sprout, Bamboo Leaves, Rhubarb Stalk, Dandelion, London Fog, and Tuxedo Black Memento inks, Flame Dew Drops (Kitchen Sink Stamps); More Mustard, Close to Cocoa, Summer Sun, and Dusty Durango Classic inks, Whisper White Craft ink, Close to Cocoa, Dusty Durango, and Whisper White cardstock, So Saffron grosgrain ribbon (Stampin' Up!); Sweet Corn cardstock (Gina K Designs); designer paper (Cosmo Cricket-Early Bird line)

For my second card, I went for a masculine look using the new Multistep Trees set. One of the set's tree images is stamped in shades of green and brown in the lower right corner of a kraft cardstock panel. The "grateful" sentiment from the Multistep Harvest set is stamped to the left of the tree in dark brown ink. I inked around the edges of the panel with some brown ink to add some depth to the panel.

To keep with the masculine look, I didn't add lots of embellishment--just a single copper brad next to the sentiment and the simple knotted grosgrain ribbon around the top of the card. I layered the panel on a green card base to complete the card.

Now that you've seen the new sets, here's the special deal, just for today, October 12. From midnight to midnight EST - all orders $50 and over will get FREE Shipping.
