Fun with Flower Soft

Today Paper Craft Planet has a really fun game to play. The Super Novas all got together and played with the new Flower Soft Snow Globe CD. I'm so excited to share this project with you.... and you can play along and win a prize by participating in a scavenger hunt! Keep reading for instructions on how you can win!

I have two projects to share using some of the images from the Snow Globe CD along with the clear display globes/domes. This one combines one of the domes with a paper tole scene from the CD to make a 3-D snow globe, complete with Flower Soft "snow." I printed out one of the snow globe scenes and cut out all of the pieces. I assembled them with foam tape pieces of varying thicknesses. After sprinkling a bit of Polar White Flower Soft over the layered scene, I attached the dome to the scene. It's hard to see the Flower Soft in the photo, but I promise, it's there!

While the dome was drying, I assembled the base. I cut a piece of blue cardstock to a semi-cylinder shape, kind of like the shape of an upside down paper cup. I curved the paper and attached the ends, then added a silver scalloped border to the top. Each of the scallops are accented with a sparkly rhinestone. The "let it snow" banner, also found on the CD, is attached to the dome base.

I cut a pair of slits in opposite sides of the base and placed the edges of the dome inside. A pretty satin bow on the top of the dome finished the snow globe.

My second project is a fun and easy gift packaging idea. I printed out the large snowman image on white cardstock and cut it out. I bought a bag of M&M's and sorted out the blue and green ones to match the snowman's scarf (aaah, the lengths we papercrafters go to for a coordinated project . . .) and put them in a dome before gluing the dome to the bear. The bear is attached to a blue kraft gift bag. I added a blue satin bow to finish it off. What a sweet way to give a gift!

Today's scavenger hunt is sponsored by Flower Soft! You could win a GENEROUS prize if you play our game...

"Flower Soft makes your stamps look real,
that's why it has such a huge appeal.
You can use it on flowers or snow,
it's great for trees and plants, you know.
