Sad . . .

There's no other way to say it--it's a very sad day here. Unexpectedly, I had to put Cosmo the crazy dog to sleep last night. When I got home from work, he was fine. Within an hour, he was having difficulty standing and I knew he needed some help. By the time he got to the emergency veterinary hospital, his condition had worsened. His prognosis, even with major medical intervention, wasn't good and I made the very difficult decision. He has been able to overcome so many things in his 14 years, but this was too much for his body to handle. I was able to be with him when he went peacefully. You were much loved and will be missed terribly, Cosmo!

  23. Lori....I am so very sad for your loss. Anyone who has ever had a pet knows what a difficult day this is for you. A few years back, I put down our beloved Shelby...she and my children grew up together. It was probably one of the most difficult things I ever had done....and one of the saddest days I've had. Please know my thoughts are with you.....but also know that your wonderful Cosmo is now at peace and watching over you.

  32. Lori I am so sorry.
We have lost 2 of our special ones in the last year to cancer, so I understand your pain.
These incrediable creatures lent to us by God have an incrediable way of getting into our Hearts where noone else can get. An uncanny ability to know when we need them and their unconditional Love. Just as our Father in Heaven would do. I feel that they are Angels sent to us to help us be better, because we can learn alot from them!
Hugs to you and your Family.

  42. So sorry about Cosmo-this happened just 10 days before we put our cat Chica down. She had been wasting away for months not able to keep her food down. It was so hard but we knew it for the best. I am happy about you celebrating Chloe's first birthday. How cute is she?! Ps wish I had known about this when we met last year we totally could have comforted one another!
