Happily Ever After

The "happily ever after" sentiment from the Fairytale Sentiment set from Starving Artistamps is a perfect match for the books and shelf images from the DoodleFactory Boudoir set. This clean and simple would make a fun "love you" card for a book lover. I don't know about you, but I love getting lost in a good book. I'm pretty much always in the middle of a book and have several spares on hand and ready for when I'm finished with one--been that way since I started to read as a young girl.

I stamped the books first, then covered them with sticky note masks before stamping the shelf image. The image is colored with Copic markers, then cut out. I used foam tape to attach the cut out image to a panel of striped paper for a wallpaper-like background look. Using the foam tape gives my tiny scene just a little depth and dimension.

The image is matted with a scarlet panel. The scarlet really pops against the card's soft blue background. I ran a strip of the same color scarlet ribbon along the edge of the panel. The ribbon ends with a blue button. The sentiment is centered beneath the image.
