Aqua Asian Fusion
Here's my last contribution to the SCS clean and simple challenge design team search. I made this card based on a sketch Jen provided for the current DT and those who were in the running for the DT. The DT reveal will come later on tonight . . .
I got some new stamps from Papertrey Ink a few days ago and really wanted to try them out. I'm not usually interested in Asian-inspired images, but the look of the vase and flower images in the new Asian Fusion set really drew me in. Here, I used an aqua card base for an almost one layer card. I stamped one of the border images twice along the bottom of the cardfront, then wrapped a piece of green ribbon around the card, just above the stamped images.
I stamped the outline vase image on a scrap of green cardstock and cut it out. To add some interest, tt's stamped with the set's other border image. One of the flower images is stamped in green ink directly on the aqua card base. I attached the vase to the card with some foam tape for just a little dimension, then dotted the center of each flower with a tiny bit of Liquid Pearls. The set's "thinking of you" sentiment fit nicely alongside the vase to complete the card.
Materials Used:
Asian Fusion stamp set, Aqua Mist and Spring Moss inks, Aqua Mist and Spring Moss cardstock, Spring Moss grosgrain ribbon (Stampin' Up!); Rich Cocoa ink (Memento); White Opal Liquid Pearls (Ranger); foam tape
