Sew Thankful

***Scroll down to the post below to see my project for this month's i {heart} papers DT challenge.***

I needed a thank you card for a thoughtful stamping friend—and fellow Unity fan, too—so I thought I’d pull out my new April Stampin’ Store kit for the card. I paired a few of the images with this week’s Hip Hop sketch challenge to come up with this bright and cheerful card. i {heart} papers has the kit available and now there’s the option to purchase just half of the kit.

I stamped the two different sized button images from the kit in black ink on a kraft panel. The buttons are colored in bright shades with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits. The bold colors pop nicely against the kraft background.

I stamped part of one of the sentiments on a coordinating blue panel, then used my sewing machine to stitch the panel to a mat. Sewing seemed very appropriate given the theme of this kit! I used my Bow Easy to make a small bow to add to the panel as an accent.

Materials Used:
from
i {heart} papers: Unity April Stampin’ Store kit-Super Sweet and Stuck on You, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Bow Easy

other: Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, and Kraft cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); blue satin ribbon (Michaels); sewing machine
