Blogger Challenge: Week 158
This week’s blogger challenge is to create a project with a patriotic theme. I went with red, white, and blue and stars and stripes for my clean and simple creation.
I stamped one of the star accented swirls from the Swirly Hearts & Stars set from Kitchen Sink Stamps in silver ink on a white panel, then accented the swirl with an assortment of stars from the Playful Stars set. I stamped the stars in a mix of red and blue inks for variety, then carefully cut them out and added them to the panel with foam tape. I stamped the “may freedom ring” sentiment from the Ready 4 Any Holiday set in red beneath the stars and accented it with a single silver brad.
For more patriotic projects, you can check out what the rest of the challenge players have created. Links to their blogs are in the sidebar on the right.
Materials Used:
Swirly Hearts & Stars, Playful Stars, and Ready 4 Any Holiday stamp sets (Kitchen Sink Stamps); Real Red and Night of Navy Classic inks, Real Red and Night of Navy cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); white cardstock (Xerox); silver ink (Encore); silver brad (Making Memories); foam tape
