Chill Out with the Giggle Bears

Here's a cute sunny, summery card featuring the Ice Cream Bear image from the new Antidepresstamps Giggle Bears, Birds and Bees line, available at Starving Artistamps.

We're finally having a break from really hot and steamy weather we've had recently, but in an effort to "think cool," I decided to make a polar bear for my card. The ice cream bear is stamped on a piece of white cardstock and highlighted with some Copic markers. I added the ice cream cone image to the bear's hand.

I made a little scene for the bear using a pair of American Crafts designer papers. The bottom paper (the grass) is machine stitched along the top to add interest and definition. I added a fun felt sun with a button center to the top of the scene. The bear is put in place with some foam tape. I stamped the “chill out” sentiment from the DoodleFactory Arctic set on a scrap of yellow paper, trimmed out the words, and attached them to the scene to finish the card.

Materials Used:
Giggle Bears and DoodleFactory Arctic stamp sets (Starving Artistamps); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry cardstock, Yoyo Yellow grosgrain ribbon (Stampin’ Up!); Craft Fair designer papers (American Crafts); sun die (My Favorite Things); button (Papertrey Ink); foam tape; yellow felt
