{Boo}

I'm doing a late post tonight due to celebration of the Jewish new year. Fortunately, Chloe the cutie puppy didn't steal anything from the dinner table, but not for lack of trying on her part. She enjoyed seeing her extended "family"--boy, does she love my dad!

I couldn't leave these new DoodleFactory Ghoulies images from Starving Artistamps uninked for long, so I pulled together this quick card using today's SCS sketch challenge. I colored then cut out the Hollow image, popping the pumpkin head image up on foam tape for some dimension. The pumpkin head's also spritzed with some shimmer spray for a little sparkle. The image is set on a purple panel for a fun contrast, along with a green grass border punched strip. The photo corner was a last minute addition.

I found some striped Halloween paper from a paper pad I'd picked up last year that worked nicely for the large panel underneath the image panel. To add some interest, I machine stitched around its edges before attaching it to the cardfront. An orange grosgrain ribbon strip with a notched edge runs across the panel. The mostly black patterned paper limited where I could place a sentiment so I ended up adding the "{boo}" sentiment to the ribbon to finish the card.

By the way, if you're a DoodleFactory fan, you'll want to be sure to stop by the Starving Artistamps blog for all the details on how to win some of the new images. A new giveaway starts tomorrow.
