Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #91-Just Boo-Cause

Here’s my card for this week’s Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I’m having so much fun being Mercy’s guest Muse for this month! Take a look at the sketch she's drawn up for this week.


I created a Halloween card using one of the new DoodleFactory Ghoulies from Starving Artistamps. Frankie is colored with Copic markers and cut out. I stamped the head a second time, colored it, and cut it out, then attached it to the image with foam tape.

I made a simple scene for my creature by stamping the Build a Cloud stamp in Rich Razzleberry ink on a matching panel (loving this color for Halloween cards this year!), then adding a grass strip along the bottom. It’s sprayed with Sparkle Shimmer Spitz for a little spooky shine. Chloe the cutie puppy got in my way and got sprayed a little, but she doesn’t look sparkly, fortunately. She’s a big puff-ball, so it would take a lot of spray to make her sparkle—LOL! I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the sentiment on the grass. A pair of silver brads accents it.

I used a pair of coordinating papers for the panel on the left side of the card and to cover most of the card base. I accented the panel along the left side of the card with a strip of black stars. They’re stitched in place for a little contrast.
