Have a Sweet Day

For today's Paper Craft Planet sketch challenge, Jessica designed a sketch for a tag--what a fun twist! I used images from the DoodleFactory Santa's Sweet Shoppe from Starving Artistamps for my super sweet tag.

The tag's base is a kraft rectangle, cut with a Nestabilities long rectangle die. I stamped the lollipop image on a white panel and colored it with Copic markers, then coated it with some irridescent glitter for a candy-coated shimmer. Some red and white baker's twine is looped around the lower part of the image and tied in a bow along the edge of the panel.

The lower part of the kraft base is covered with some striped paper with a pattern that reminded me of a candy cane--perfect for a candy-themed tag! I ran a strip of red grosgrain ribbon along the top of the patterned paper to add some texture before layering on the stamped image panel. The sentiment, from the Simple Sweet Sayings set, is attached with some foam tape. The kraft panel is layered on a red scalloped rectangle base. I threaded some grosgrain ribbons through the hole at the top of the tag and used a red button and some more baker's twine to secure it.

I hope you'll play along with this week's challenge. If you do, be sure to use the keyword sk110510 when you upload your project to the PCP gallery so it can be added to the album with the rest of this week's creations.
