TCPTues-Go Forth & Eat Cake

Here’s my card for this week’s TCP Tuesday challenge. Tori is our hostess this week and she’s chosen a great mix of colors—lipstick red, cotton candy pink, and aqua. I went festive and made a birthday card featuring one of TCP’s bunny sets, Forget About the Cake.

I stamped the bunny and cake on a white panel and colored the image with Copic markers, using a little pale blue to outline the bunny so its almost white ears stood out a bit from the panel. I added a little Yellow Stickles to the candle flames for some sparkle.

The rest of the card is pretty simple. After covering a pink card base with some pink and white chevron patterned paper, I attached a clear crystal circle to the card, then layered a strip of dotted aqua paper over that, stretching across the card. The image is layered on an aqua panel and edged with a red scalloped strip, then set over the other pieces. I added a red button, tied with pink Divine Twine, and a little hanging tag with the set’s “go forth & eat cake” sentiment stamped in red to wrap things up nicely.
