TCP Tuesday 174-You Put the Song in my Heart

This week’s TCP Tuesday challenge from Susan is to use a stamp with wings. I stretched things just a bit here and went with a die cut bird instead of a stamped one. In my mind it's close enough--wings are wings, right?

The bird is die cut from a piece of chipboard using the bird from CutUps Home Tweet Home die, then covered with super sparkly blue tinsel glitter. This stuff is kind of messy, but really pretty! I wish I had it in another color—I’ll have to keep my eye out for it during the holidays. I used foam tape to set the bird on a panel of cloud patterned paper, then stamped the music notes image from The Tweetest Things set in brown ink underneath it.

The panel is matted with on a kraft piece, then set on a moss green panel. The coordinating sentiment is stamped just underneath the cloud panel. A piece of TCP’s olive seam binding is wrapped around the panel and finished off with a pretty bow. The bottom of the cardfront is covered with a dot embossed blue panel. The embossing mirrors the dot pattern in the clouds, so it ties everything together nicely.

So, sift through your stamp collection and find a thing with wings (and, yes, TCP's penguins count here!) and get to work! Playing along with the challenge enters you into the mix for the weekly Cat Cash prize awarded to one lucky participant who adds their creation to the guestbook on Alma's blog--and gives you the chance to be honored as the next Swanky Stamper. And, Alma will be sharing links to the Cat Pack's creations on her blog all week, so be sure to check in regularly.
