Birthday Banner Tag

This week’s Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge was designed for a tag. This tiny tag based on the sketch includes images from three different Waltzingmouse sets!

I started by stamping images from the Large Doily set in pink and green inks randomly on the cream die cut tag, leaving room at the bottom for the birthday sentiment from the Lil Buddies set. After that, I inked the edges with a little distress ink for a softer, more aged look.

I made the pieces for the little pennant by stamping one of the Gingham & Co. images on notch-ended strips. Each strip is scored at the top and folded over a piece of pink baker's twine--an easy banner in no time at all! I tied the ends of the baker's twine in tiny bows before attaching it to the tag. A piece of pink seam binding left over on my table from another project found its way to the tag to finish it off--and tidy up my desk just a bit all at the same time.

Materials Used:
Large Doily, Lil Buddies, and Gingham & Co. stamp sets (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Kiwi Kiss and Pink Pirouette Classic inks, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, and Very Vanilla cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Antique Linen distress ink (Ranger); Tag It #1 die (Papertrey Ink); pink seam binding (Martha Stewart); pink baker's twine (Divine Twine)
