I Love You Bunches
Susan’s our hostess for this week’s TCP Tuesday stamp challenge and we’re having a food fight! Yes, she’s challenging us to create a card using a food-themed stamp in honor of all of the food that needs to be prepared to celebrate the holiday season. And, from this week on, our stamp challenge will have a new twist--a CutUps die will be included, too.
My card uses the banana-toting monkeys from the Go Bananas set from the last release. I stamped them so they’re swinging off of different ends of the same vine, then colored them with Copic markers. I used a cloud template with a sponge and some light blue ink to add in a pale sky backdrop behind them.
They’re set on a kraft card base covered with some green striped paper. I added a pair of layered ribbon strips to the cardfront before setting the image panel in place. I attached a green button, tied with matching baker’s twine, at the bottom of the panel.
The set’s “I love you bunches” sentiment is stamped in green ink on a kraft oval I cut with the Circus Panels CutUps die set. It's attached at the top of the image panel with foam tape.
We hope you'll play along in our food fight--the bigger, the better, right? One lucky randomly selected player will be chosen as the winner of this week's Cat Cash prize and, with what we've got planned for the rest of the month, you're going to want some spending money on hand . . .
Because, if you love a sale, then we have just what you're looking for at TCP. Every Friday through the end of November, everything on the TCP website (except the KittyKat Pack and the Poochie Pack) will be 20% off--yes, 20% off! Remember, the sale is only on Fridays and limited to stock on hand, so start making your list right now so you'll be ready to shop.
Materials Used:
Go Bananas stamp set, Neenah white cardstock, CutUps Circus Panels dies, Divine Twine green baker’s twine (The Cat’s Pajamas); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Bashful Blue Classic ink, Barely Banana and Crumb Cake cardstock, Chocolate Chip twill (Stampin’ Up!); Homemade 6 Bean Soup-Navy Beans designer paper (Jillibean Soup); green grosgrain ribbon, green button (Michaels); cloud template; foam tape
