TCPTuesday189-Absolutely No Peeking

This week’s TCP Tuesday challenge, A Cool Yule, comes to us from Susan. She’s challenging us to use our TCP stamps, plus the Big Scallop CutUps die (if you have it!) to create a holiday card.

I used PJ Bear from the Peeking set for my card. PJ’s colored with Copic markers. The gift box in his hands (wonder what’s tucked in there?) is paper pieced using a striped print for the box and a coordinating solid for the ribbon/bow.
For the background I arranged three paper blocks—two coordinating patterns and one neutral solid—on a cranberry panel cut along the lower edge with the CutUps Circus Border die. I machine stitched the seams between the patterns for a fun detail, then added PJ with foam tape. The “absolutely no peeking” sentiment is stamped in black ink on the dotted print paper.

Peeking stamp set, Neenah white cardstock, CutUps Circus Border die (The Cat’s Pajamas); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); Cranberry Crisp, Mellow Moss, and Very Vanilla cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Jingle Tiny Tablet (Lily Bee Design); sewing machine; foam tape
