CSS Release Review--Lil' Critter Party Pair

With so many fabulous products released last month, throughout this month the Clear and Simple Stamps design team will be highlighting some of the different sets and products. For today, each design team member has created a party invitation and favor to share today as part of the festivities using the Party Elements: Critters set. My project is a woodland critter themed party invite and favor. I’m thinking it would be perfect for a party held at a local nature center—I know the ones around me do fun ones where they offer an informational program with hands on activities and a closer look at animals.

My invitation’s made from a ¼ sheet of Kraft Like a Rockstar Green cardstock. I attached a slightly smaller piece of patterned paper with a fun leaf print to the panel after cutting out a long oval opening. The oval opening is filled with a giant paper clip with a die cut fox attached. The fox removes from the slot and can be used as a bookmark. I used the Little Critters stamp and matching die to create the fox along with a pair of lightweight chipboard coasters (also cut with the die) to attach it to the clip.

The party information is on a grid patterned paper panel. I used stamps from the Critter Party Elements set for the date/time/place/RSVP info. After machine stitching the information panel to the card, I added a smaller version of the fox from the Taglines: Critters set at the bottom.

The matching favor is a single-serving s’mores kit. I put two graham crackers, a few sections of a chocolate bar, and a skewered big marshmallow in a plastic bag and secured the bag with green baker’s twine. The sweet kit is inside a Party Favor 1 box, cut from Kraft Like a Rockstar Green cardstock. I used the same patterned paper and fox image as I did on the invitation on the front of the box. I die cut a tag shape with the Tags 1 die, and after shortening the tag a bit at the bottom, used the open letters from the Alpha Duo stamp set to spell out the “have s’more fun.” The letters are colored in with a Copic marker.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the talented CSS team has created using the Party Elements: Critters set as a starting point. Here's where to find them:
