TCPTuesday 204-Small, Sugarcoated Packages

For this week’s TCP Tuesday stamp and die challenge, Susan’s asked us to use our Easter stamps along with the CutUps Grass, Cloud Border and/or Easter Basket dies to create an Easter card. I mixed and matched a few different dies and stamp sets for this fun—and funny—card for the challenge.

I used the CutUps Easter Basket die as my focal image. I cut the basket from kraft cardstock and rubbed a little distress ink on it to add some texture and depth to the image, then “filled” the basket with a few die cut eggs and a sneaky bunny, too. I used the bunny from the Birthday Bunny set, minus the stack of gifts beneath it. The placement of the bunny’s hands makes it look like the bunny’s peeking out over the basket’s edge! I set the filled basket on an aqua panel with a strip of grass, cut with the CutUps Grass Border die, along the bottom.

The basket panel is set over a multicolored plaid patterned paper panel, machine stitched around the edges. The “good things come in small, sugarcoated packages” sentiment from the Sugar, Sugar set is stamped at the top of the panel. I used black Versafine ink here so that I’d get a really dark, bold image that would stand out against the plaid background.

Be sure to stop by Alma’s blog for links to the rest of the Cat Pack’s take on the challenge. And, don’t forget to add your card for the challenge to the guest book on Alma’s blog to be entered into the drawing for this week’s Cat Cash prize. You’re going to want to have a little cash on hand for the new release that’s coming later on this month . . .
