CSS Release Replay: Prepare to Be Pampered

Release replay week wraps up today at Clear and Simple Stamps with another look at the latest additions to CSS’s Rag Doll line. I used the new Rag Doll: Spa and Rag Doll: Spa Extras set to put together this girly gift set.

My card features the spa-ready Rag Doll, complete with polka dotted pajamas and pink robe with fuzzy trim. I used the same paper as I used to paper piece the Rag Doll’s pajama bottoms (peeking out from the bottom of the robe) for the notch-ended strip beneath the image. I dressed it up with a pretty pink bow made with a die from the Mini Bow Trio set. The “prepare to be pampered” sentiment is stamped at the bottom of the panel in pink ink.

To go with the card, I packaged up a pair of pink bath products (bubble bath and shower gel) in a bag and put them in a box made with the Party Favor 11 die. This box is great for so many things! I used the same colors and papers to tie the different elements of the set together. The tag is made with the new Tags 3 die and stamped with a coordinating image from the Tags 3 Fillers set and the "relax" sentiment from the Rag Doll: Spa Extras set.

And, the final piece is a pink flannel sleep mask, made with CSS’s Eye Mask die. Unlike many of the talented crafters on the CSS team, I am far from skilled with a sewing machine, so I opted for a cheater’s version of the mask. I die cut the mask two times from soft pink flannel and backed each piece with some Heat ‘n Bond. I cut the mask out again from fusible interfacing, then trimmed it down around the perforated outline and placed it between the two flannel pieces, then used my iron to bond the pieces together. I did use my sewing machine to secure the elastic band in place!
