Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 240-Happy Birthday, Champ
It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! I used the sketch to make a birthday card for a young friend who's a big sports fan and athlete.
I started off with some sports themed patterned paper. I cut a trio of narrow kraft cardstock strips and arranged them along the bottom of the patterned paper panel. The right end of each strip was dotted with a copper brad.
I stamped the "happy birthday, champ" sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Football Frenzy stamp set on a white pierced circle die cut, then added the set's football image at the bottom of the panel, using foam tape for dimension. After matting the panel on an orange circle, I added it to the cardfront. I tucked a gift card (to a sporting goods store, of course!) inside and the card was ready to go.
To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on Karen’s blog. For lots of inspiration be sure to check out what the other Sweet Sunday Sketch stampers have created for you this week. Here’s where to find them:
