Have a Boo-tiful Day
Here's my card for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. When I made this card last week, I cut out and stamped a whole bunch of these cute little one-eyed ghosts from Lawn Fawn's Monster Mash set. I put one of those ghosties to use on this design.
I put a piece of green and gray patterned paper and a strip of steel blue cardstock on a dark gray panel, then adhered the panel to a coordinating green card base. The "have a boo-tiful day" sentiment was stamped in gray ink on a green strip. After edging the strip with gray cardstock, I set it over the cardfront, hiding the seam between the patterned and solid paper panels.
I added just a bit of color to the ghost using Copic markers, then coated the image with a subtle layer of glitter from a Wink of Stella pen. After covering the eye with Glossy Accents for shine and dimension, I used dimensional dots to adhere it to the sentiment strip. A trio of black enamel dots arranged above and below the sentiment completed the design.
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn Monster Mash stamp set and Monster Mash dies; Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink; Jillibean Soup Witches Brew 6x6 paper pad; Studio Calico enamel dots; Wink of Stella clear glitter pen; Sticky Thumb dimensional dots
other: Sour Apple, Steel Blue, and Steel Grey cardstock (My Favorite Things); markers (Copic); Glossy Accents (Ranger)
