Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 267-Sending You Happy Hellos
It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! This sketch was perfect for showcasing the sweet mini envelope die from Lil' Inker Designs.
I die cut the envelope from white cardstock, then added a red die cut stitched heart to it. It was adhered to a blue cardstock strip using foam tape. I stamped the "sending you happy hellos" sentiment from the Sending You set next to the envelope in navy pigment ink.
After adhering a narrow strip of navy cardstock to the bottom of the panel, I matted it on contrasting red cardstock. It was adhered to a piece of paper with a simple, graphic pattern that picked up the triangular shape of the envelope flap.
To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on the SSSC blog. Be sure to stop by the blog to check out what the SSSC team has created using the sketch. And, don't forget to check in on Wednesday to see one of our favorite cards made with the sketch.
Materials Used:
Sending You stamp set, Stitched Heart and Mini Envelope and Accessories dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Luxe Nautical Blue ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, and Brocade Blue cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Pen Pals 6x6 paper pad (Pink Paislee); foam tape
