Love You to Pieces
My "Love You to Pieces" stamp set from Gina K Designs arrived today. As a teacher, I've seen first hand how autism has touched the lives of many children and their families and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to purchase this set, knowing that $8 of the purchase would go directly to support an organization that supports families that are affected by autism. For more information about this set, visit Gina K's Stamps for a Cause site.
I used the set for this card for the weekly sketch challenge on SCS. The heart is stamped in Real Red ink, then "kissed" with the Linen background stamp so it has a softer look. The puzzle pieces were stamped in black Staz-on on a window sheet piece. I tend to forget that ink on window sheets is slippery and that if you don't stamp with a really steady hand, the image will slide around. It only took me two tries to get it right here. So that you can't see the adhesive holding the window sheet in place, I put it under the sentiment strip. The red background piece is embossed with another new Cuttlebug embossing folder, Traffic Jam. Since the squares are nested inside of one another, it kind of reminded me of the pieces of a puzzle.
Materials Used:
From Stampin' Up!: Linen stamp; Real Red Classic ink; White Craft ink; Real Red, Basic Black, and Whisper White cardstock; Black Staz-on; word window punch; glue dots; stampin' dimensional
Other: Love You to Pieces stamp set (Gina K Designs); window sheet; heart brad (Joann); Traffic Jam A2 embossing folder (Cuttlebug)
