Pink Pick a Petal
For today's sketch challenge on SCS, I was inspired by a card I had made for a swap for this summer's Stampin' Up! convention (see it here). I had an extra stamped image panel from this card on my stamping table and started from there.
I used craft ink to stamp the Pick a Petal images on kraft cardstock--I love the look of craft and kraft together! Using craft inks, I was able to layer the colors (white, then Regal Rose, then Close to Cocoa) without muddying them at all. I added some subtle sparkle to the dots on the flower petals using a Stardust gel pen. There wasn't much room left for a sentiment, so I used the tiny "be happy" from So Many Sayings. It fit perfectly in the corner.
The Regal Rose panel is stamped with the large swirl image from Priceless. I attached the stamped panel using dimensionals.
Materials Used:
From Stampin' Up!: Pick a Petal, Priceless, and So Many Sayings stamp sets; Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink, and White Craft inks; Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, and Kraft cardstock; 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches; pink gingham ribbon; wide Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon; corner rounder; dimensionals; glue dot
Other: Stardust gel pen (Sakura); clear button (Foo-fa-la)
