Charge!

This card started out using the sketch from yesterday's SCS sketch challenge, but ended up looking somewhat different. Instead of centering the main image panel, I ended up offsetting it a little to the right. After looking at the card for a while (I made it last night) I'm still not sure whether or not the card is too busy . . .

The main image is from the Say Charge set from My Favorite Things Stamps. The image is stamped on shimmery white cardstock and colored with reinkers and an aquapainter. I added dimension by stamping the image a second time and cutting out the shopping bags, then attaching them to the full image panel with dimensionals.

The color scheme on the card was inspired by the colors of the Loves Me designer paper in Stampin' Up!'s winter's mini catalog last year. I liked how the dots and lines on the patterned paper picked up those same elements in the stamped image. I found some scraps of this fun flocked paper that matches the colors of the papers and used that on the card front, too.

Materials Used:
Pixie Pink, Close to Cocoa, and Taken with Teal Classic inks, Cool Caribbean, Taken with Teal, Pixie Pink, Whisper White, and Shimmery White cardstock, Loves Me designer series paper, slit punch, aquapainter, ticket corner punch, dimensionals, silver brads (Stampin' Up!); Say Charge stamp set (My Favorite Things Stamps); Turquoise Stickles (Ranger); pink dotted organdy (Michaels); pink flocked paper (Target)
