Blue Peek-a-Boo Box
I made this fun little treat box for today's Technique Lovers Challenge on SCS. The pattern can be found in the templates section of the downloads forum on SCS (here). It was so easy to make because all I needed to do was print out the pattern, cut on the lines, fold it up, then decorate it.
After stamping the cardstock with the Polka Dot background (the only stamping here!), I added a chipboard flower to the top. The flower is covered with craft ink, then heat embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. The center of the flower is covered with Chocolate Chip cardstock, then layered with a scalloped circle and a pink button to match the flower.
On the inside, I covered the top with striped patterned paper to match the color of the box. For some reason, I'm really liking combining dots and stripes lately. Now, all that's left is to decide what to fill this cute little box with! These would make really cute party favors, wouldn't they?
Materials Used
Polka Dot background stamp; On Board Blossoms chipboard; Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip cardstock; Soft Sky Classic ink; Regal Rose Craft ink;1 3/8" circle punch; Soft Sky stitched grosgrain; glue dots; Iridescent Ice embossing powder, white gel pen (Stampin' Up!); scalloped circle punch (Martha Stewart); pink button (American Crafts); acetate
