Fall Flowers
Here's a card that uses the Happy Birthday Cupcake set from Kitchen Sink Stamps in a completely different way than the other cards I've shared with you. In addition to the cupcake images, the set includes a few funky flower images, too. They really add to the versatility of the set.
For this card, I randomly stamped the flower images to create this floral patterned paper. I used fall-like rust, yellow, and brown here on a piece of vanilla cardstock. Since the stamps are clear, it is really easy to stamp a random pattern--you can see exactly where your images are going without any guesswork. It wouldn't take long to stamp a whole sheet of paper to cut up and use to make a bunch of cards (why didn't I think of that when I was making this card??).
I stamped a sentiment from the Never a Loss 4 Words set on a band of saffron paper and added a large flower brad. In the close up photo, you can see the Dew Drop I put at the center of the flower brad. I used just a dot of Crystal Effects to make it stick. It really makes the brad a cool design element.
Materials Used:
Happy Birthday Cupcake and Never a Loss 4 Words stamp sets (Kitchen Sink Stamps); Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, and Very Vanilla cardstock (Stampin' Up!); chalk inks; flower brad (ProvoCraft); Dew Drop (Kitchen Sink Stamps)
