Sketches {by Tamara} #29

Here's my card for this week's sketch from Sketches {by Tamara}. It's something a little different--a round card. I don't remember ever making one of these before. I originally was going to use my Nestabilities to cut a circle, but the largest circle would have made a smaller card than I would have liked. So, I turned to my trusty collection of plastic lids to find a circle that was just right to trace for the card base.

The stamped images on this card come from Verve Visual's Seeing Stars stamp set. They're stamped in VersaMagic chalk ink in Night Sky. I punched out the large star from striped patterned paper using a paper punch. It's attached to the dotted paper with dimensionals. The smaller stars are stamped on dotted paper and closely trimmed. I covered them with Dazzling Diamonds, which looks weird in this photo (not sure why that is . . .).

Be sure to stop by Tamara's blog to see what the other card sketch design team members have done with this sketch. If you give it a try, leave a link here so I can see what you've created.

Materials Used:
Seeing Stars stamp set (Verve Visual); Night Sky chalk ink (VersaMagic); Real Red and So Saffron cardstock, Blue Bayou and So Saffron Prints Series designer paper, star punch, Dazzling Diamonds, slit punch, mat pack and paper piercing tool (Stampin' Up!); star brad (Making Memories)
