Two Thank You's

I wanted to use some more of the new stamps I got from Verve Stamps last week, so I pulled them out to do a few cards for some blogger challenges today.

This one is for Julee's Mojo Monday challenge. I paired the So Happy sentiment set with the fun Daisybella image from Stamping Bella. I love the fun fonts in this set and how you can mix and match the words for lots of occasions and events.

I had a piece of floral paper on my stamping table, so I used that for color inspiration and for the panel on the lower portion of the cardfront. Daisybella was stamped in black ink, then colored with Copic markers. I stamped the flower twice so that I could cut one out and layer it over the one on the stamped image panel using a dimensional.

I added a trio of Prima flowers in coordinating colors as an embellishment on the circle panel. I placed a small self-adhesive rhinestone at the center of each flower. The sentiment panel was layered slightly over the Bella image panel and attached with dimensionals to help it stand out. I added one more Prima flower to the lower corner to balance the layout.

Materials Used:
So Happy stamp set (Verve Stamps); Daisybella image (Stamping Bella); patterned paper (KI Memories); Dark Chocolate Palette ink, Aqua Mist and Sweet Blush cardstock (Papertrey Ink); markers (Copic Ciao); white cardstock (Xerox); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); rectangle and circle dies (Nestabilities); Threading Water punch (Fiskars); Pixie Pink and Kiwi Kiss cardstock, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); self-adhesive rhinestones (Michaels); Cotton Candy Stickles (Ranger)

I made this card for Verve's monthly Project Parade. I love kraft cardstock, so as soon as I saw this challenge, I knew I wanted to participate. I used images from Verve's Grateful Elegance to create this card.

I stamped two of the flower images (medium and large) randomly on the kraft card base in white craft ink. I love how white ink looks on the kraft! It doesn't show well (at all really!) in the photo, but the large decorative block image is stamped on the Aqua Mist panel in Aqua Mist ink. I guess I need to order a refill for my ink pad! I knotted a piece of twill tape across the card and added a narrower, darker piece of twill into the knot for some contrast.

The sentiment is stamped in Dark Chocolate ink on an Aqua Mist circle, then layered on a Dark Chocolate Chip circle for contrast. I really like how this turned out. It would be a good card to mass-produce since it's quick to make and there aren't a lot of pieces. I may just have to do that . . .

Materials Used:
Grateful Elegance stamp set (Verve Stamps); White Craft ink, Kraft cardstock, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches, mat pack and paper piercing tool, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); Aqua Mist and Dark Chocolate Palette inks, Aqua Mist and Dark Chocolate cardstock, Dark Chocolate twill ribbon (Papertrey Ink); twill tape (Martha Stewart)
