Pocket Silhouettes Swap

Here’s one of my swaps for today’s SU! Virginia Beach regional seminar. I didn’t go overboard for this event, only making about 100 cards total to swap. I did 4 different designs of about 25 each. I get bored making much more than that. For the SU! convention in Salt Lake City, I made my swaps in groups of 40, so this went much faster.

This card took me about 5 minutes to design and not too long to get all the pieces ready to assemble either once I was ready to go—perfect for a card that’s being mass-produced for a swap. I paired one of the images from Pocket Silhouettes with the large mum pattern (I think it’s a mum—I’m no flower expert . . .) from the Haiku designer paper pack. The patterned paper panel is embellished with a scallop edge strip made from bold Tangerine Tango cardstock. I also added a pair of silver brads near the top right corner of the panel.

I stamped the sentiment on a So Saffron oval and added a brad to one end of the oval. This is attached to the cardfront with a dimensional.

I’m off for a day of stamping fun with friends and then to dinner with some SCS’ers who are also attending the regional. I’m looking forward to fantastic presentations by SU! staff fellow demos and catching up with some of my online buddies in person!

Materials Used (all from Stampin’ Up!):
Pocket Silhouettes stamp set, Old Olive and Close to Cocoa Classic inks, Creamy Caramel, Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron, and Very Vanilla cardstock, Haiku designer paper, silver brads, oval punch, scallop edge punch, dimensionals
