Amazing Butterfly

Here’s a card I made for another one of the Verve Stamps holiday release challenges. I really like the soft, delicate look of this card.

I used the butterfly image from the Thankful Blossoms set as my main image. I colored the image with Copic markers and added some glittery accents using a clear Stardust pen. I stamped the “trail” using Pink Pirouette ink.

The colors for the card came from the pastel palette of the Memory Box Layette papers I used for the cardfront. I paired the pink and yellow paisley pattern with a predominantly yellow piece of patterned paper. I used Barely Banana and Pink Pirouette scraps for the scalloped panel across the cardfront. The sentiment is stamped in slightly darker Regal Rose ink so it stands out against the pale yellow background. I may go back and add some pearls or something like that to the right side of the card—still thinking on that . . .

Materials Used:
Thankful Blossoms stamp set (Verve Stamps); white cardstock (Xerox); markers (Copic Ciao); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose Classic inks, Pink Pirouette and Barely Banana cardstock, scallop edge punch, Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); patterned paper (Memory Box-Layette pack); clear Stardust pen (Sakura)
