Brand New!

I got two new stamp sets in the mail yesterday from My Favorite Things. Since the sets feature two of my favorite things (bunny rabbits and purses!), I couldn't resist them!

Here's the first card I made using the cute Snow Bunny Flopsey set. I used Julee's Mojo Monday sketch for this one.

I colored the bunny image with Copic markers. I chose pink and blue for the scarf, then used that to determine the colors for the rest of the card.

Julee suggested "embracing the white space" as part of her challenge, so I tried to do that here. I broke it up a little by adding a strip of polka dotted paper across the cardfront, edged with a scallop strip with holes in it, revealing the white underneath.

I stamped the sentiment so it would fit on a wider rectangle, rather than a long one. I added a small pink felt heart to it as an accent.

All of the pieces were assembled on a white panel. I made the white panel just a bit smaller than a standard cardfront. This allowed me to layer it on a Baja Breeze cardfront, leaving a narrow border of the blue visible. Lots of white space, but not too much!

Materials Used:
Snow Bunny Flopsey stamp set (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Xerox); Rich Cocoa ink (Memento); markers (Copic Ciao); patterned paper (K & Co.); Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette cardstock, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); felt heart (American Crafts); Cotton Candy Stickles (Ranger); scallop border punch (Martha Stewart); white grosgrain ribbon (Michaels)

And, here's a card using the new Tote-ally Fantastic set. When I went to put the set away, the purse images caught my eye and I thought they'd look great in the layout from this week's sketch challenge at Paper Craft Planet. So, even though I've already tried this sketch once, I sat down to make the card. It came together in no time at all.

I stamped the purse images on pieces of paper from Basic Grey's Offbeat collection, then cut them out. I layered them on matching stamped images on 1 1/2" vanilla cardstock circles. I selected the colors for the rest of the card to complement the colors of the purses. I used a piece of paper from the SU! Bella Rose designer paper pack along with Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss

The thank you sentiment is stamped in Papertrey Ink's Vintage Cream ink. This is the nicest cream colored ink I've found so far. It has a nice opaque look and covers evenly, too. If you're looking for a cream ink, definitely give it a try!

Materials Used:
Tote-ally Fantastic stamp set (My Favorite Things); 1 1/2" circle punch (EK Success); Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, and Very Vanilla cardstock, Bella Rose designer paper, scallop edge punch, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); patterned paper (Offbeat from Basic Grey); Vintage Cream Palette ink (Papertrey Ink)
