Blogger Challenge: Week 91
This week’s challenge was to think spring. Well, what’s more spring-like than a newly hatched chick and pastel colors? Not much! So, that's where I went with this card.
I used the eggshell images from the DoodleFactory Easter set to make a “home” for the chick from the DoodleFactory Country set. I love how the images from the different DoodleFactory sets can be mixed and matched!
Twee, the chick, is colored a bright, springy yellow. The edges of the eggshell pieces are outlined with the lightest of pink markers to give them a subtle tint, then coated with Angel Wings Shimmerz. I used dimensionals to attach the eggshells so it looked like the chick was just hatching and popping out from the egg.
And, I found the perfect sentiment to match my brand new baby chick. I added the “Hi Chickie!” sentiment from one of the Country Sentiment sets just above the chick image. I used a single yellow brad to accent the words.
