It's time for another
Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday and this week I have a pair of St. Patrick's Day themed projects to share.
This card was made for this week's sketch challenge at
Page Plans. In addition to using the sketch, we had to create monochromatic cards using shades of green.
I used the clover image from the Love & Luck set for the main image panel. Each clover has a tiny dot of Lime Stickles at the center. I added the "have a lucky day" sentiment from Ready 4 Any Holiday at the bottom of the panel, then rubbed my ink pad along and over the panel for a sort of distressed look. I placed a big photo corner at the top of the image panel in a deeper green, then added a lighter green satin ribbon around the cardfront.
Materials Used:
Love & Luck and Ready 4 Any Holiday stamp sets (Kitchen Sink Stamps); patterned paper (My Mind's Eye); Certainly Celery Classic ink, photo corner punch, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); New Leaf cardstock (Papertrey Ink); green satin ribbon (Michaels); Lime Stickles (Ranger); green self-adhesive rhinestones (Joann)
This is a tiny flower pot (about 2" tall or so) I found in Target's Dollar Spot. It was part of a "Grow Your Own Shamrocks" kit that included the pot, seeds, and some soil. The pot was the regular clay kind and I jazzed it up by covering it with white acrylic paint, then stamping the clover image randomly over the surface. I dotted some Lime Stickles in the centers here, too. So cute!
I have a terrible track record with plants (given that, it's amazing that I've managed to keep Cosmo the crazy dog alive as long as I have . . .), so I decided to fill the pot with some plastic green shamrocks instead of attempting to grow the seeds--LOL!

How super cute is this? I love the shamrocks on both the card and the pot. Those greens are super cute together too. What fun projects!!
ReplyDeleteLoved the card below and the shamrock pot and card are great. Nice idea of thinking outside the box. Seeing potential is a good thing so now, try to grow the seeds and see what happens.
