Kitchen Sink Monday: New Stamps for Spring

For today's Kitchen Sink Monday, I have a peek at one of the new sets that will be released tomorrow. There are three sets on the way--Multi Step Lilies, Multi Step Tulip Garden, and Nesting Dolls. I made two cards using the new Multi Step Lilies set. Since it's a snowy day here today, I thought I'd go for a bright, springy look.

This card uses the stamp with the trio of lilies. I worked with several different shades of yellow and oranges to build the lilies--SU! Barely Banana, Papertrey's Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, and Melon Berry (stamped off once), and SU! Close to Cocoa. I stamped these on a circle of shimmery white cardstock.

I layered the image on a pair of scalloped circle mats to match the colors in the SEI patterned paper I placed on the left side of the card base. I wrapped a matching strip of Summer Sunrise ribbon around the card, then stamped the "Thinking of You" sentiment from the Hibiscus set in the bottom right corner.

Materials Used:
Multi Step Lilies and 3 Step Hibiscus stamp sets (Kitchen Sink Stamps); Barely Banana, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Kiwi Kiss, and Old Olive Classic inks, Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, and Melon Berry Palette inks, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, and Sweet Blush cardstock, Summer Sunrise grosgrain ribbon (Papertrey Ink); circle and scalloped circle dies (Nestabilities); patterned paper (SEI)

This one is a simple card that really lets the pretty image stand out. I stamped the single lily image using the same combination of inks on a white panel. I simply added a sentiment from the Words of Love stamp set and a piece of satin ribbon, then layered the panel on a celery panel and on a lemon card base.

For more sneak peeks, you can visit the rest of the Kitchen Sink Crew. I can't wait to see what they've created with the new sets!
