Bee My Honey

Here’s a simple and fun card featuring images from the Chicken Girl Designs Hugs from a Bug stamp set from i {heart} papers.

I stamped the bug image 4 times on red cardstock using black ink and punched out the images using a 1 3/8” square punch. Each image is highlighted a little with a combination of Lipstick and Clear Spica glitter pens—very sparkly and shimmery IRL. I layered the bugs on a square of black cardstock, then used dimensionals to attach the panel to a red panel.

The “bee my honey” sentiment is stamped below the bug panel. I added a piece of black glimmer ribbon beneath the sentiment, then layered the panel on a black panel and then on a white card base so that it would be easy to write a message inside. Eye-catching and back to the basics (our theme for this month’s Paper Craft Planet DT gallery) all at the same time.
other: Real Red and Basic Black cardstock, 1 3/8" square punch, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); white cardstock (Georgia Pacific)
