I'm Nuts About You

I have another sneak peek featuring images from the second new Chicken Girl Designs stamp set that will be available at i {heart} papers! This card uses the Into the Forest set. This is such a cute collection of critters!

Here, I used the squirrel and tree to make a simple scene. The tree is paper pieced using some Sassafras Lass designer paper with a grid pattern. The cutie squirrel is colored with Copic markers and embellished with a little sparkly flock on its tail. It’s hard to see in the photo, but I sponged in some clouds, too.

I added the “nuts about you” sentiment to the scene using a panel cut with a Nestabilities label die and embellished with a piece of brown faux suede ribbon. I layered the scene on a cardfront covered with another piece of Sassafras Lass designer paper. I think this paper was part of their winter collection, but it works nicely with my color scheme.
